Shrenu Parikh Embraces Goddess Parvati Role After 2-Year Break

Shrenu Parikh, a veteran actress with 15 years in the industry, has returned to television after a 2-year hiatus. She is now portraying the role of Goddess Parvati in the show Gatha Shiv Parivaar Ki -- Ganesh Kartikey, which she describes as a "challenging but enjoyable" experience.

Parikh, who was last seen in the show Maitree earlier this year, says she felt she had done a good job during the audition for the Goddess Parvati role. While it was not something she had envisioned, she believes it was "Maa's wish" for her to take on this mythological character. In preparation, she read extensively about Parvati before the 5-month shoot began.

The actress shares that this break has allowed her to focus on personal growth and better balance her professional and personal life. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of taking care of her home, cooking, and celebrating festivals with her family. Parikh acknowledges that in the past 13 years of chasing her dreams, she may have neglected this work-life balance, something she is now determined to improve.

Despite her success, Parikh remains grateful for the support of her family and audience. She is also eager to return to Gujarati cinema, having made her debut in 2018 with Lamboo Rastoo. The actress closely follows the evolving Gujarati film industry and believes it is a great time for regional cinema in India.
