Shrek's Outbash Outhouse: The Bucket You Can't Unsee

AMC is set to captivate audiences once again with a distinctive popcorn bucket celebrating the 25th anniversary of Shrek. This unique merchandise item features a recreation of one of the film's most iconic and potentially appetite-challenging moments: the outhouse scene. Fans will have the opportunity to own this novelty item, which allows for the Shrek figure to be displayed separately from the outhouse itself, offering versatile display options. The bucket is scheduled to become available on May 1st, preceding the film's re-release in theaters on May 15th.

This special edition popcorn bucket is part of a growing trend of collectible merchandise tied to anniversary film releases, following similar initiatives for movies like Toy Story. The release comes in anticipation of Shrek 5, which is expected to hit theaters in 2027. This offers dedicated fans a chance to engage with the franchise through unique memorabilia, potentially even considering the practicality of refilling such a distinctive container for future events. The enthusiasm for these creative popcorn buckets highlights a nostalgic consumer trend.
