Summary
- Actor Shia LaBeouf was arrested in New Orleans on a battery charge.
- The arrest follows a recent, controversial interview with Andrew Callaghan.
- LaBeouf discussed his fears of gay people and admitted to using a slur.

Shia LaBeouf was apprehended once more in New Orleans on Saturday, booked on a fresh battery charge. This new arrest occurred shortly after LaBeouf's first interview since his prior detention, during which he made several surprising and contentious remarks. He expressed fear of gay people, stating, "Big gay people are scary to me," and later clarified, "I'm good with gay. Be gay over there though. Don't be gay in my lap."
During the interview, LaBeouf admitted to using a gay slur and apologized for his actions. He explained his earlier altercation by saying he was "drunk and then I felt infringed upon in terms of my proximity," taking responsibility as he "wasn't in [his] right mind." The actor also discussed the failure of his marriage to Mia Goth and his relocation to New Orleans.
This recent booking comes amid reports of a new warrant issued for LaBeouf in connection with his February 17 arrest. Eyewitnesses alleged he became aggressive at a business and assaulted two men. LaBeouf previously posted a $100,000 bond and is required to attend rehab and undergo drug testing.
