On November 1st, 2025, Sheryl Lee Ralph's Divas Simply Singing! gala will celebrate its 35th anniversary with a star-studded lineup of performers. The event, which takes place at the Taglyan Cultural Complex in Hollywood, will feature musical acts such as Andra Day, Mickey Guyton, Jenifer Lewis, and Loretta Divine, as well as Lalah Hathaway, James Pickens, Gina Taylor-Pickens, Freda Payne, and rising R&B artist India Shawn.
This year's Divas Simply Singing! gala will honor several trailblazers in the fields of health advocacy and the arts. Jewel Thais-Williams will receive the Ivory Ralph Legend of Distinction Award, while Dr. Maya Green will be recognized with the Health Advocacy Award. Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr. will be presented with the AARP Crossover -- Living Legends Award, and Lula Washington will be honored with the Artistic Activism Award for her impact in dance and cultural expression.
The 2025 gala is made possible by the support of presenting sponsor Gilead Sciences. Sheryl Lee Ralph launched the Diva Foundation in 1990 to help fight HIV/AIDS stigma through arts and community programs, and the foundation has since raised over $5.5 million for at-risk populations.
