He-Man's Sister She-Ra Appears: Director Reveals Production Scramble

Masters of the Universe director Travis Knight discussed the challenging production of She-Ra's surprise cameo. Initially, complicated rights issues made her inclusion uncertain, with the scene being adaptable for her presence or absence. Once cleared, the team faced a severe budget shortage, forcing the production designer to improvise with materials for the set.

Filming the post-credits scene was a race against time, completed within a few hours in the morning due to other production demands. Knight confirmed that if a sequel is approved, She-Ra, who is considered He-Man's equal, will have a significant role. The audience's strong reaction to her brief appearance indicated a demand for her on the big screen.

While the actress playing She-Ra remains undisclosed, Knight expressed certainty in his choice for the role. Prince Adam actor Nicholas Galitzine shared his enthusiasm for the project and the potential to revisit characters, particularly with his on-screen sister. The film also leaves the door open for Skeletor's return, with director Knight confirming his immortality is not the case but acknowledging his enjoyment as a villain.
