Major League Soccer (MLS) and San Diego FC have officially partnered with recording artist SHAVONE, a notable tech executive, musician, and author. SHAVONE will write and executive produce "SDFSHE," a groundbreaking track that marks the first original song commissioned and released through the MLS Playmakers Music Collective. SHAVONE, alongside her creative group Future of Creatives, has been named a founding artist in residence for the Collective.
The "SDFSHE" track serves as an anthem celebrating women artists in San Diego. Its official music video was filmed at Snapdragon Stadium. This release is the debut single from the San Diego FC MLS Music Playmakers Collective and is the initial offering in a planned year-long series of original music. This initiative is building towards a larger project release in the summer of 2026, timed with the FIFA World Cup hosted in the U.S.
