A delightful free sculpture trail, "Find the Flock," is currently gracing the streets of Bury, Greater Manchester, until April 30th. This unique event showcases 12 creatively painted models of the popular animated character, Shaun the Sheep, inviting the public to discover different parts of the town.
Nigel Shields of Bury BID highlighted how the trail complements Bury's cheerful disposition, noting that the character's personality resonates with the town's less serious and more fun-loving atmosphere. This initiative aims to encourage lighthearted exploration.
The sculptures are strategically placed at various landmarks, including The Met, East Lancashire Railway, and Bury Art Museum. Gemma Laverick from The Fusilier Museum observed that the trail successfully attracts a broader demographic, introducing new visitors to the museum.
This artistic installation celebrates the enduring popularity of Shaun the Sheep, who first appeared in 1995 and has since starred in over 190 episodes across seven series, making it one of Britain's longest-running animated shows. Fans can anticipate more adventures with a new film, "Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom," set for release in October.
