TV Adaptation Twists Ellis' 'The Shards'

FX's nine-episode series adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis' 2023 novel, 'The Shards,' brings the autofiction story to life with a notable twist. The show, loosely inspired by Ellis' teenage years in 1981, follows 17-year-old Bret grappling with his sexuality amidst a serial killer's gruesome murders. Ryan Murphy, collaborating with Ellis, introduced several key changes from the book.
