Shane Gillis' Tires Gets Seasons 3 & 4 Renewal

Netflix has officially renewed the single-camera comedy series Tires for two more seasons, confirming installments for seasons three and four. This renewal is part of an overall deal with comedian Shane Gillis and co-creator John McKeever.

The third season of Tires recently achieved a significant milestone, reaching the #5 spot on the Global Top 10 English TV list for the week of August 17, 2026. This marks its highest-ever ranking.

Tires has proven to be a cost-effective production for Netflix, maintaining a modest budget since its independently financed first season. This is a crucial factor for renewals, which are heavily influenced by a show's performance relative to its cost.

Since its debut in 2024, seasons 1-3 of Tires have garnered over 45 million views. Additionally, Gillis' 2023 stand-up special, "Shane Gillis: Beautiful Dogs," has been viewed nearly 30 million times. The overall deal also includes plans for two new stand-up specials from Gillis.

Netflix VP of US Comedy, Tracey Pakosta, highlighted the show's growing fandom and "unapologetic comedy." Filmed in the Pennsylvania region, Tires stars Gillis and Steve Gerben, with John McKeever directing.

In the series, Gerben plays Will, the unqualified heir trying to salvage his father's auto repair business, while Gillis portrays his troublesome cousin, Shane. Season 3 saw Will and Shane struggling to keep Valley Forge afloat, examining their past to secure their future.

Beyond the series, Gillis recently set two Guinness World Records at his Lincoln Financial Field show last month for most tickets sold and largest audience for a solo comedian.
