Disney has unveiled an exciting new music video for the original song "Zoo" from the highly anticipated Zootopia 2 film. The song is performed by Shakira, who returns to voice the character of Gazelle, Zootopia's biggest pop star.
The "Zoo" music video combines Shakira's live performance with footage of numerous animated characters from the film, including Gazelle, Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, Gary De'Snake, and Nibbles Maplestick. Directed by Hannah Lux Davis, the video showcases Shakira in multiple Gazelle and Zootopia 2-inspired looks as she sings the catchy tune.
The music and lyrics for "Zoo" were written by Ed Sheeran, Blake Slatkin, and Shakira herself. The song is produced by Slatkin, Alex (A.C.) Castillo, Shakira, and Sheeran. The "Zootopia 2" score is composed by Academy Award-winner Michael Giacchino and will be part of the complete soundtrack, set to launch on Friday, Nov. 21, ahead of the film's theatrical release on Wednesday, Nov. 26.
Zootopia 2 follows the continued adventures of rookie cops Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde as they uncover a great mystery when Gary De'Snake arrives in Zootopia and turns the animal metropolis upside down.
