The official FIFA World Cup 2026 song, "Dai Dai" by Shakira and Burna Boy, has achieved a historic first, reaching the No. 1 position on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart. This marks the inaugural time an official World Cup anthem has topped this specific ranking since its inception in 2020.
"Dai Dai" garnered 31.5 million streams and 4,000 sales outside the United States between June 19-25. This achievement grants Shakira her second Global Excl. U.S. No. 1, while Burna Boy marks his first appearance at the top of the chart. They previously performed the song for over 80,000 fans at the FIFA World Cup 2026 opening ceremony on June 11 in Mexico City.
Further solidifying its global presence, "Dai Dai" also surged to No. 9 on the Billboard Global 200 chart, driven by 35.2 million streams within the U.S. This marks Shakira's third top 10 entry on the Global 200 and Burna Boy's first. The song is expected to be featured in the first-ever World Cup final halftime show on July 19.
