Shabana Azmi Battles Swine Flu Amid Health Concerns

Veteran actress Shabana Azmi has been diagnosed with swine flu, a development that led to the cancellation of her planned participation in student-led protest demonstrations. The 75-year-old star developed a high fever and has been advised to undergo a five-day isolation period for recovery.

This health update follows a recent asthma attack Azmi experienced due to tear gas inhalation during a march in New Delhi. The actress's health concerns have also brought renewed attention to her past personal life, specifically a love triangle involving her, Javed Akhtar, and his first wife, Honey Irani.

In a recent docu-series, Azmi discussed the painful complexities of her past relationship with Akhtar, acknowledging the hurt it caused his children. She explained her decision to remain largely silent on the matter to avoid causing further pain to those involved.

Farhan Akhtar, Javed and Honey's son, has since spoken about his initial feelings of betrayal but credited Azmi for helping normalize his relationship with his father.
