In a recent conversation, Shaan disclosed that his wife, Radhika Mukherjee, has consistently been his harshest critic regarding his acting abilities. She once told him to put it in writing that he should never act again.

Radhika's feedback was blunt, stating that while people accepted him as a singer, his acting could jeopardize their livelihood, leading to financial hardship. She famously warned him, 'Dal roti ke vaande ho jaayenge' (meaning they might struggle for basic sustenance).

Following his wife's strong disapproval, Shaan largely stepped away from acting. However, he recently expressed a desire to revisit his acting career, suggesting a potential comeback.
