Sesame Street is releasing a new seven-track album, "Parody Party," on July 26. This album will feature characters like Cookie Monster, Elmo, and Abby Cadabby performing satirical versions of well-known pop hits. The release aims to entertain audiences with a musical twist on familiar songs.
Ahead of the album's launch, a music video for Cookie Monster's "Take a Bite" has been released. This track is a parody of Bruno Mars' hit "I Just Might," with lyrics humorously centered around Cookie Monster's love for cookies. The accompanying video mirrors elements of the original music video for "I Just Might."
"Parody Party" will include a variety of new parodies, such as Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster, and Elmo's "Where Is My Lovie?" (a take on RAYE's "Where Is My Husband!"). Fans can also expect "Go for the Gold" and Elmo, Cookie Monster, and Abby's "Got to Go" (a parody of Chappell Roan's "Hot to Go!"). Previously released parodies, including Cookie Monster's "Me Want It, But Me Wait" and "Share It Maybe," as well as Oscar the Grouch's "Shake It Off," will also be featured on the album.
