The 12th edition of the Serielizados festival in Barcelona is poised to make a significant impact, with a bolstered industry section and a diverse series program catering to its growing audience. Taking place from November 3-12, 2025, the festival will feature 52 new shows onsite and around 30 online via the Spanish streamer Filmin.
The festival's industry focus will be on the Serielizados Pro Industry Day on November 6, where over 250 decision-makers, including representatives from Arte France and Movistar Plus+, will discuss the state of the industry and collaborate on co-production opportunities. Highlights include case studies on upcoming HBO Max Catalan shows and a panel on public broadcasters' collaborations.
Serielizados will also host masterclasses by renowned showrunners such as Alan Ball ("Six Feet Under," "True Blood") and Henriette Steenstrup ("Nepobaby," "Pørni"), as well as Benedikt Erlingsson ("The Danish Woman") and Leticia Dolera ("Pubertat"). The festival's international competition will feature six series, including "The Danish Woman," "A Better Man," and "Reykjavik Fusion," while the Spanish competition will showcase four titles, including "The Anatomy of a Moment" and "Jakarta."
The festival's co-founders, Víctor Sala and Betu Molero, have worked tirelessly to transform Serielizados from a university project into a fully-fledged international festival, online magazine, and talent showcase. The partnership with Filmin has been instrumental in expanding the festival's reach, allowing it to become one of the largest in Spain with over 205,000 online viewers in addition to the 9,000 onsite attendees.
