Heiress's Amnesia Unravels Dark Family Secrets

The film concludes with Helene, presumed dead, regaining fragments of her memory and escaping danger. She had been investigating a sex trafficking ring within her family's shipping company. Her husband, Edmund, drugged her and confined her to a psychiatric facility, attempting to discredit her. Helene secretly thwarted his plan by not taking her medication, allowing her memories to return.

The identity of the real Louise is revealed as a sex worker who was assisting Helene. Louise had gathered evidence of the trafficking operation. Edmund, aware of their plan, fatally struck Louise with his car. Helene then jumped off a bridge to escape, sustaining injuries that caused her memory loss.

Helene also learns that her father's death, initially thought to be an accident, was murder. Edmund's mother, Caroline, pushed him. Caroline, who was her father's secret lover and helped him run the trafficking ring, killed him to ensure Edmund took over the company's criminal enterprise.

In the climax, Helene confronts Edmund and Caroline. Caroline urges Edmund to kill Helene, but he refuses. During a struggle, Helene incapacitates Edmund, leading to Caroline's accidental death. Edmund is then arrested by the arriving police, allowing Helene and her son to escape to Norway.
