Sebastian Stan, now a renowned actor, recalled a significant early career setback when he auditioned for American Idol in the early 2000s. He and a friend slept outdoors overnight in Times Square to be first in line for the audition.
Despite his efforts, Stan was rejected within 10 seconds of his a cappella performance of a 'Moulin Rouge!' medley. He noted that he was accustomed to rejection at that stage of his life.
More recently, Stan starred in the Romanian film 'Fjord,' where he acted in his native language for the first time. The film premiered at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival.
Stan also spoke about the joys and challenges of being a new father, welcoming a child with his girlfriend Annabelle Wallis in July 2026. He described himself as a helpful but inexperienced 'waiter' to his partner, whom he praised as an expert parent.
