Sebastian Stan Almost Played Stefan Salvatore

Sebastian Stan, known for his role as Bucky Barnes, almost starred in the hit series The Vampire Diaries. Stan shared on the Happy Sad Confused podcast that he was offered the part of Stefan Salvatore, which ultimately went to Paul Wesley.

He explained that at the time, he was feeling burnt out from a previous project and uncertain about the supernatural teen drama's longevity. Stan also reflected that he might not have been ready for such intense exposure when younger, focusing instead on building his career through other roles.

Despite the show's massive success, running for eight seasons, Stan expressed no regret. He feels grateful for his career path, which led him to widespread stardom in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and stated he wouldn't change anything about how his journey unfolded.
