Set to debut this summer, "The Season" is a new six-episode English-language drama produced by PCCW Media in collaboration with SK Global. The series unfolds in Hong Kong and will be released as a Viu Original across Asia, the Middle East, and South Africa. U.S. viewers can anticipate its availability on Hulu.
The narrative centers on an established social circle whose summer season is disrupted by the arrival of a young outsider. As hidden secrets surface and alliances change, personal ambitions begin to reshape relationships within the group.
The show features a notable ensemble cast. This includes Jessie Mei Li, known for "Shadow and Bone," and three-time Golden Horse winner Karena Lam. Other cast members include Chris Pang, Justin Chien, Yvonne Chapman, Celina Jade, and Toby Stephens. Special appearances will be made by Hong Kong stars Anson Lo and Marf Yau.
Yalun Tu, co-creator of the Prime Video Japan series "My Undead Yokai Girlfriend," serves as the creator and executive producer. Chilean director Marialy Rivas is also directing and executive producing the series.
