Scott Foley has reprised his role as Sean Kelly in the 'Scrubs' revival, appearing in Season 2, Episode 3. In this episode, Elliot decides to end her relationship with Sean, finding him to be uninteresting after a text exchange about sock colors.
Shortly after, Sean is seen working at an aquarium, having left his previous job at SeaWorld. He explains his departure was due to concerns over the orcas' well-being in captivity. J.D. informs Charlie about Sean's history with Elliot and admits to sabotaging their relationship, potentially affecting Sean's life.
Foley previously appeared in earlier seasons, with Sean last seen in Season 8 dating J.D.'s ex-girlfriend, Kim. Kim is also the mother of J.D.'s son, Sam, a character confirmed to remain canon in the revival, though neither Sam nor J.D. and Elliot's child, Ollie, have appeared yet.
