Scream's Worst Ghostface Revealed: A Shocking Ranking
28 Feb
Summary
- New ranking lists all Ghostface killers from worst to best.
- Scream 7's killers, Marco, Karl, and Jessica, rank lowest.
- Jill Roberts from Scream 4 is crowned the best Ghostface.

The Scream franchise, known for its whodunit slasher approach, has released a definitive ranking of all Ghostface killers, updating its list to include Scream 7. The recent installment's killers, Marco, Karl Gibbs, and Jessica Bowden, are placed at the bottom, criticized for being non-entities, having muddled motivations, and anticlimactic reveals. Marco is singled out for being a complete nonentity, while Jessica's motivation regarding Neve Campbell's absence is deemed nonsensical.
Conversely, Jill Roberts from Scream 4 claims the top spot. Her motive of seeking fame and resentment towards her famous cousin, Sidney, provided a chilling commentary on self-obsession. Emma Roberts's performance is highlighted as electric, channeling her character's anger effectively.
Other notable rankings include Billy Loomis from the original Scream at number two for his classic 'bad boy' charm and deceptive nature, and Richie Kirsch from Scream 5 at number three for convincingly playing the 'good guy' while harboring a bleak motive fueled by toxic online behavior.
Even the earliest Ghostfaces are re-evaluated. Stu Macher from the original Scream is placed fifth, with his darkly hilarious performance by Matthew Lillard being a saving grace despite a nebulous motivation. Mrs. Loomis from Scream 2 is ranked fourth, lauded for Laurie Metcalf's terrifying portrayal despite a plot twist considered a 'cop-out.'
