Summary
- A fan suggests Heather Matarazzo's Martha Meeks as an opening kill.
- Martha Meeks is the mother of Scream's Chad and Mindy Meeks-Martin.
- The writer believes this could raise stakes for the twins.
A passionate fan of the Scream franchise has put forth a compelling suggestion for an upcoming movie: Heather Matarazzo's character, Martha Meeks, should serve as the opening kill. Martha, known as the mother of the prominent Meeks-Martin twins, Chad and Mindy, has had limited screen time in the series so far, primarily appearing in brief cameos.
The fan argues that an attack by Ghostface on Martha would be an epic and high-stakes moment, potentially galvanizing Chad and Mindy in ways not yet seen. Matarazzo's established history in the horror genre, including roles in 'The Devil's Advocate' and 'Hostel: Part II', makes her a fitting candidate for a dramatic on-screen demise.
With the recent success of Scream 7 at the box office, the possibility of another film in the franchise seems likely. This fan's desire to see Martha Meeks face Ghostface highlights the enduring appeal of legacy characters and the potential for surprising plot developments in the beloved horror series.
