This performance indicates the slasher genre's resilience against critical scores. Paramount Pictures is projecting an opening weekend of $40 million, while industry trackers anticipate a higher $45 million, which would set a new series record.

Fans will be excited by the return of Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott and Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers.
