Sci-Fi Thriller 'Affection' Acquired by Blue Finch Films

In a significant acquisition, Blue Finch Films has secured the worldwide sales rights to the sci-fi horror feature 'Affection'. The film, which marks the directorial debut of BT Meza, stars Jessica Rothe, known for her lead role in the 'Happy Death Day' franchise.

'Affection' follows the story of Ellie Carter, a woman who has never met the man she is told is her husband and cannot remember the life she is said to lead. Afflicted by violent seizures that reset her memory without warning, Ellie finds herself trapped in a cyclical nightmare, desperately trying to uncover the horrifying truth of her existence before she forgets it all over again.

Alongside Rothe, the film's cast includes Joseph Cross and Julianna Layne. Meza, who also wrote the screenplay, is producing the project alongside Bay Dariz, Austin Walk, and JP Ouellette under the Superconductive banner. Christian Henderson and Christy Walker serve as executive producers.

Meza has expressed his excitement about partnering with Blue Finch Films, stating that the story of 'Affection' comes from a deeply personal place and that the production team is thrilled to be working with a company that shares their passion for bold and distinctive genre cinema. The film is set to have its world premiere at several fall festivals, including as the opening night selection at ScreamFest and as part of the Brooklyn Horror Fest lineup.
