Panamanian director Abner Benaim is now a co-director for the forthcoming fiction series, "School of the Americas." This project boasts an impressive cast, including Chilean stars Daniela Vega and Alfredo Castro. The series is set to delve into the controversial U.S. Army School of the Americas, with its narrative commencing with a compelling exhumation.
This discovery leads to the unearthing of a cold case involving a massacre and a graduation photograph with faces obscured. An investigator recognizes the counterinsurgency doctrine taught at the notorious school. As she pursues four graduates across continents, she uncovers the school's true curriculum and its enduring legacy.
"School of the Americas" is scheduled for principal photography to commence in 2028, contingent upon the successful acquisition of all necessary financing. Producers Seedling Media Productions and La Panda Productions are spearheading the endeavor. The series aims to explore how violence is taught through curriculum, not born inherently.
