Schmigadoon Musical Adaptation Announced for Broadway Debut in 2026

In an exciting development for fans of the Apple TV+ series Schmigadoon, a stage musical adaptation of the show is set to debut on Broadway in 2026. The production, which will follow the events of the TV show's first season, is currently scheduled for a limited engagement at the Nederlander Theatre, with previews beginning on April 4 and an official opening night on April 20.

The Broadway version of Schmigadoon will feature an expanded score, including new songs like "The Picnic Basket Auction" and a number in the style of the composers Adler and Ross. Producer Lorne Michaels has described the musical as "a love letter to the Golden Age of movie musicals," promising a nostalgic and fun experience for audiences.
