Users recalled specific frames from films like 'Signs,' 'The Blair Witch Project,' and 'The Silence of the Lambs.' These moments, whether a grainy alien reveal or a terrifying basement discovery, are noted for their psychological impact. The fear is often amplified by what is lurking in the shadows or glimpsed through unsettling camera angles.

Further examples include scenes from 'The Ring,' 'The Descent,' and 'Parasite,' demonstrating how even subtle visuals can be profoundly disturbing. Directors like Ari Aster and M. Night Shyamalan were frequently cited for their ability to craft nightmare-inducing imagery.
