The SCAD Savannah Film Festival has unveiled an impressive lineup of honorees for its 2025 edition, which is set to take place from October 25 to November 1. The festival will celebrate the contributions of several acclaimed industry professionals through a series of award presentations, moderated conversations, and master classes.
Among the honorees are Will Arnett, who will receive the Luminary Award for his work as the writer and star of the Searchlight film "Is This Thing On?". Other notable names include production designer Hannah Beachler for her work on the Warner Bros. film "Sinners", writer and director Craig Brewer for the Focus feature "Song Sung Blue", and actress Rose Byrne, who will also be honored with the Luminary Award for her performance in the A24 film "If I Had Legs I'd Kick You".
The festival will also recognize the talents of rising stars, such as Miles Caton, who will receive the Rising Star Award for his role in the Warner Bros. film "Sinners". Additionally, the event will celebrate the achievements of acclaimed directors like Jon M. Chu of the Universal film "Wicked" and Rian Johnson, the writer and director of the Netflix mystery "Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery".
