Sarah Shahi: Divorce cost me friendships

Actress Sarah Shahi recently shared that her divorce from Steve Howey led to the loss of friendships. She recounted on the "Not Skinny But Not Fat" podcast that individuals close to her questioned her decision to end their decade-plus marriage.

Shahi stated that some friends who were "deeply in the know" turned against her, which she found surprising. She noted that many of these judgmental friends were themselves unhappy in their own relationships and felt she should have remained married.

She expressed that her aim in life is to be happy and that she has the right to pursue it. Shahi and Howey, who married in 2009 and share three children, divorced in 2020, with Shahi filing the papers. She later found love with Adam Demos, her co-star on "Sex/Life."

More recently, Shahi discussed her split from Demos, suggesting that difficulty in building a life with children can arise when a partner doesn't fully desire that commitment. Looking ahead, she expressed a desire for her next relationship to be solely focused on her own happiness and enjoyment.
