19 Apr
Summary
- Sarah Ferguson is staying at a luxury Austrian wellness retreat.
- She aims to protect her children and grandchildren from media attention.
- This follows her departure from Royal Lodge at King Charles's request.

Sarah Ferguson is currently staying at a high-end wellness retreat in Austria, photos published on Thursday revealed. This marks her first public appearance since September, following a period of self-imposed exile from public life in Britain.
Her cousin by marriage, Martin Barrantes, stated that Sarah wishes to protect her children and grandchildren from the intense media attention. He mentioned they spoke three months ago, during which she seemed to be in good spirits despite the difficult circumstances, including the Epstein Files.
This retreat coincides with Prince Andrew's relocation to the Sandringham estate's grounds, having left his long-time residence, Royal Lodge, at King Charles's behest. The Austrian resort where Sarah is reportedly staying is said to cost around £2,000 per night.
Austria is a familiar location for Ferguson; she previously stayed at the MAYRLIFE Clinic there for two weeks in 2024 after a malignant melanoma diagnosis. She also sought treatment at the Paracelsus Recovery Clinic in Switzerland from late 2025 to early 2026 for various mental health challenges.
