Sarah Ferguson's Alpine Retreat Revealed
18 Apr
Summary
- Ferguson stayed in an Austrian Alps chalet for months.
- She was last seen at her granddaughter's christening.
- Her ex-husband Prince Andrew faced misconduct allegations.

Sarah Ferguson, the former Duchess of York, has been discreetly residing in a chalet in the Austrian Alps for several months. This period of low visibility began after her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, faced allegations of misconduct in public office in February. Ferguson had reportedly been rumored to be in various locations, but a source confirmed her consistent presence at the alpine retreat.
Her last public appearance was in December 2025, attending the christening of her granddaughter, Athena. Prior to that, she had maintained a low profile since September 2025. Ferguson and Prince Andrew, who divorced in 1996 but remain amicable, also did not attend the afterparty for the christening celebration.
The Duchess of York lost her title after Prince Andrew was stripped of his royal honors by King Charles in October 2025. Following these events, the former couple was required to leave their long-time residence at Royal Lodge. Prince Andrew is currently at the Sandringham estate, while Ferguson is believed to be considering properties in Windsor.
