Sarah Ferguson is not preparing to release a personal tell-all memoir, according to her spokesman. Reports circulating on Friday suggested that the former Duchess was close to accepting a seven-figure book deal. However, her representative explicitly stated that no such discussions have occurred and a memoir is not planned.
Previous reports had claimed Ferguson's "compelling" autobiography would cover sensitive topics, including her ex-husband Prince Andrew and King Charles, as well as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The supposed book was also intended to address scrutiny over her past association with Jeffrey Epstein.
These rumors emerged shortly after the release of Charles Spencer's memoir about his sister, Princess Diana. Ferguson has spent the last six months living abroad, having been evicted from Royal Lodge in Windsor with Prince Andrew. She was reportedly set to move into a new property in the Home Counties upon her return to the UK.
Speculation about her return has also linked it to potential financial reasons or a desire to spend more time with her grandchildren. Royal editor Emily Nash noted that Ferguson's return could be motivated by proximity to her grandchildren, including her newborn granddaughter, Adelaide, while acknowledging the possibility of inherited wealth.
