Comedian and writer Sara Pascoe has unveiled the eight music tracks, one book, and a luxury item she would choose if stranded on a desert island. Pascoe is recognized for her appearances on popular programs such as QI, Taskmaster, and the Great British Sewing Bee. She is also a screenwriter and the author of three books, including her debut novel, Weirdo, which earned the inaugural Jilly Cooper Prize for fiction last year.
Born in Dagenham and raised in Romford, Pascoe initially pursued acting after joining a drama club at age 14. Although she did not gain entry into drama school, she later earned an English Literature degree from the University of Sussex. To support herself after graduation, she worked various jobs, including a period as a tour bus guide in London.
Pascoe embarked on her stand-up comedy career in 2007, performing her first gig to a dozen attendees in a south London pub. Despite a quiet reception to her jokes, the experience ignited her passion for comedy. The following year, she was a joint runner-up in the Funny Women Awards. In 2010, she presented her first show at the Edinburgh Festival and subsequently appeared on the BBC's Live at the Apollo in 2012. She is currently on tour with her latest stand-up show, "I Am A Strange Gloop."
