The makers of the upcoming film 'Santhosh Trophy,' directed by Vipin Das and featuring Prithviraj Sukumaran, have unveiled its first-look poster. This project, a follow-up to their 2024 success 'Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil,' is scheduled for a summer 2026 theatrical debut. The narrative follows a character named Santhosh, portrayed by Sukumaran, who is determined to win a trophy before his upcoming birthday.
To achieve a natural and honest on-screen presence, the production team selected approximately 60 newcomers through auditions held across Kerala. Filming is anticipated to commence in September 2025, following a traditional pooja ceremony. Magic Frames and Prithviraj Productions are backing this character-driven story, which aims to resonate with audiences through its relatable and lifelike portrayal.
