Actress Sanjana Sanghi recalled her "magical, unplanned entry" into Bollywood, which began with an audition for Imtiaz Ali's "Rockstar" at the tender age of 13.
Discovered by casting director Mukesh Chhabra on her school campus in Delhi, Sanghi was selected to play Mandy, Nargis Fakhri's younger sister. Within three days of her impromptu audition, she found herself on set in Dharamshala, working alongside Ranbir Kapoor and director Imtiaz Ali.
This pivotal experience profoundly changed Sanghi's life. Her return to school after starring in the cult classic "Rockstar" led to a significantly different social dynamic among her peers.
Following "Rockstar," Sanghi led a "semi-professional" life, balancing her academics with numerous advertisements and small film roles, requiring constant permissions from her school principal.
