Sanchith Sanjeev: Debut Actor's Bold Move

Sanchith Sanjeev, the nephew of Kannada superstar Kichcha Sudeep, made his acting debut with the crime drama 'Mango Pachcha.' The film's unconventional promotional approach, which largely kept actors from interviews pre-release, was a conscious decision to let the movie speak for itself. Sanjeev explained this allowed him to discuss his performance and experience after audiences had seen the film.

Choosing 'Mango Pachcha' as his debut, Sanjeev aimed to contribute to change within the Kannada film industry. He was drawn to the story's emotional depth and the unique characterization of Mysuru. Sanjeev also touched upon the struggles of Kannada cinema in securing opportunities on OTT platforms, a challenge he believes the industry shares responsibility for.

He strongly advocates for greater support and respect for writers, considering them the foundation of cinema. Sanjeev shared that his admiration for films like 'Huccha' and Ram Gopal Varma's 'Sarkar' fueled his aspiration to become a filmmaker. He hopes to one day direct Kichcha Sudeep in a project that captures the intensity seen in 'Sarkar,' leveraging his uncle's commanding screen presence.

The actor also reflected on growing up around his uncle, describing Kichcha Sudeep as a deeply thoughtful individual. While not currently slated to appear in his uncle's upcoming films, Sanjeev looks forward to establishing his own identity before potentially sharing the screen with him.
