TV Actress Sanchita Ugale Dies by Suicide at 22

Young television actress Sanchita Ugale passed away at the age of 22 after reportedly dying by suicide. The incident occurred at her residence in Nalasopara East on June 14, 2026.

Officials reported that Ugale locked herself in her bedroom and was found to have hanged herself from a ceiling fan using a saree. This tragic event took place between 7 pm and 7:30 pm on the specified date.

Family members and residents immediately transported her to Vasai-Virar Municipal Hospital. However, she was declared dead upon arrival by medical personnel.

Following the discovery, Achole Police reached the scene and initiated necessary procedures. An inquest report was prepared, and her body was sent for a post-mortem examination.

A complaint was filed by her father, Machhindra Ugale, leading to the registration of an Accidental Death Report (ADR) on June 15, 2026. The exact cause behind Ugale's death remains under investigation, with authorities exploring all possible angles.

Sanchita Ugale had been building a notable career in television, films, and OTT projects. She was recognized for her portrayal of Diya Tandon in Zee TV's Kumkum Bhagya and Ruchita Jaitley in Wagle Ki Duniya. She also took on the lead role in Dangal TV's Dilwali Dulha Le Jayegi and appeared in films such as Chhaava and Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout.
