Tender Loving Care Sweeps San Sebastian Awards

The 74th San Sebastian International Film Festival concluded with Mike Leigh's "Tender Loving Care" taking home three prestigious awards, including the coveted Golden Shell for Best Film. The film also received Silver Shells for Best Screenplay and Best Leading Performance for Kate O'Flynn.
O'Flynn shared her Best Leading Performance award with Asta Kamma August for her role in "Growth of the Soil." This film also earned a Silver Shell for Best Cinematography. Amanda Kernell won Best Director for "Brace Your Heart," dedicating her award to the Sami culture.
Additional accolades included the Special Jury Prize for "Border" and Javier Cámara securing the Silver Shell for Best Supporting Performance. Audience Awards went to "La Bola Negra" and "NAZA." This year's festival also honored Naomi Watts and Werner Herzog with lifetime achievement Donostia Awards.
The festival celebrated its final edition under director Jose Luis Rebordinos, who will be succeeded by Maialen Beloki for the upcoming 75th edition. The event featured numerous international stars and a significant presence of Latin American cinema.
