Sam Smith Seeks New Talent for UK Shows

Sam Smith, in collaboration with BBC Introducing, is actively seeking new musical talent to perform as opening acts for their UK residency shows. A total of 10 artists will be chosen for these significant opportunities.

Interested artists are invited to upload their music to the BBC Introducing Uploader from Wednesday, July 29, through Wednesday, August 5. They must use the specific "Sam Smith" tag for their submission to be considered. A panel from BBC Introducing will select a shortlist, and Sam Smith will personally choose the final 10 performers.

The winning artists will not only perform at one of Smith's residency shows but will also receive promotion across BBC Introducing platforms. Smith expressed enthusiasm for this initiative, highlighting its importance in discovering new talent. The singer is scheduled to perform in Manchester on September 3 and 4, followed by a series of eight shows in London from September 8 to 19. These performances will occur after the release of Smith's new album, "Hazel Eyes," on August 21.
