Sam Asghari embraces past for new acting roles

Sam Asghari is prepared to address his past relationship with Britney Spears, acknowledging that the "Mr. Britney Spears" label may persist as he takes on new acting ventures. He stated his readiness to discuss this chapter without letting it affect him emotionally, viewing the past as a significant part of his life to be celebrated and reflected upon.

Asghari also offered supportive words regarding Spears' recent reunion with her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, wishing her well and describing the boys as "amazing." He shared that he and Spears have not maintained close contact since their separation but reiterated his well wishes.

Currently, Asghari is promoting his role as Victor in the heist film "The Gentleman Thief," starring alongside John Travolta. He portrays the "muscle" of the operation, handling the heavy-duty aspects of the mission. Asghari expressed personal significance in working with Travolta, a childhood idol whose films he watched while learning English after moving from Iran to the United States at age 12.

He has also completed "The Good American," an action-thriller short film inspired by the experiences of Iranian refugees. This project, expected to enter the film festival circuit in fall 2026, aims to depict Iranian refugee experiences accurately, countering distorted narratives often presented to American audiences.
