Sam & Ade Go Birding Returns for Second Season with More Episodes

Fans of actor Samuel West and comedian Adrian Edmondson have good reason to celebrate as their popular bird-watching series, "Sam & Ade Go Birding," has been recommissioned for a second season. The recommission will bring six hour-long episodes to Channel 5, expanding upon the success of the initial three-part run.

The upcoming season promises to take viewers on a journey through some of Britain's most stunning natural settings. West and Edmondson will explore locations such as the rolling hills and sea cliffs of Yorkshire, the wilds of West Wales, and the remote coastlines of Scotland. Their quest is to find a wide array of birds, from common woodland songbirds to more elusive species like ospreys and puffins.

The series is currently in production, with a broadcast date yet to be announced. Both West and Edmondson have expressed their enthusiasm for the show's return. West humorously noted his "dastardly plan" to get Edmondson hooked on birding is paying off, while Edmondson highlighted the appeal of more birds, stunning views, and pub visits.

The new episodes will continue to feature candid conversations between the friends, delving into topics such as family, mortality, and moving stories, all while celebrating their shared passion for birdwatching. The first series earned West and Edmondson a longlist nomination for the Grierson Award for Best Documentary Presenter.
