Salman Khan's New Six-Storey Home Approved in Bandra
27 Jun
Summary
- Salman Khan secured approval for a six-storey building in Bandra.
- The new home will be located near his current residence, Galaxy Apartments.
- The plot is registered under the name of his mother, Salma Khan.

Salman Khan has been granted approval to build a new six-storey residential complex in Mumbai's Bandra. The Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) gave the green light for the project on June 16. This new development will be located a short distance from Galaxy Apartments, the actor's residence since 1974.
The plot where the building will rise is registered under the name of Salman Khan's mother, Salma Khan. A pre-existing two-storey house on the property, dating back before 1956, was demolished due to structural instability. The approved construction includes a ground floor, stilt parking, and six upper floors, covering approximately 1,014 square metres.
Development of the property, undertaken by Sach Developers, has moved closer to commencement with the MCZMA clearance, following an earlier preliminary approval from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation in October 2025. Environmental conditions mandate that no existing trees will be cut; instead, local species will be planted around the property.
This decision comes over two years after heightened security measures were implemented around Salman Khan's residence following a firing incident. The new property's location on a quieter lane is anticipated to provide the Khan family with increased privacy and enhanced security.
