Salman Khan Mourns Loss of Close Friend Kumod Raney

Kumod Raney, a Dubai-based entrepreneur and a close confidante of Bollywood actor Salman Khan, passed away in Mumbai on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. She was reportedly undergoing treatment for cancer at the time of her demise. Her passing left Salman Khan and his entire family in profound grief. Salman and his brother Sohail Khan were visibly distressed as they paid their final respects at her funeral.

Raney, who founded the luxury beauty salon Reign Beauty Bar in Dubai, maintained a generally private life. However, her strong connections within the film industry, particularly her long-standing friendship with Salman Khan, were well-known. Despite her private nature, she occasionally shared glimpses of her life on social media, including moments with her son, Kabir Raney, and a man named Jaggi, whom many believed to be her partner.

Salman Khan, who had attended Raney's 60th birthday celebration a few months prior, was devastated by the news. Videos from the funeral showed him deeply emotional. Other notable attendees included Sohail Khan, Helen, and members of the extended Khan family, alongside Bollywood figures like Chunky and Bhavna Pandey.

Raney, originally from Mumbai, had established her successful business in Dubai, with Reign Beauty Bar celebrating 22 years in operation. Her last known social media post featured a New Year's celebration on January 1, 2025, with Salman Khan and Jaggi.
