The creation of the poignant song 'Tadap Tadap' from the 1999 film 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' evoked a strong emotional response from lead actor Salman Khan. Music composer Ismail Darbar recently shared an anecdote detailing how Khan became visibly distressed upon hearing the song.
Darbar recalled that during a playback session, the song's powerful emotions silenced everyone present. When asked what was wrong, Salman Khan expressed that the song caused him significant pain and requested it not be played in front of him. Darbar witnessed Khan crying and shouting, describing it as an extremely restless moment for the actor.
'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam,' which also featured Aishwarya Rai, was celebrated for its romantic storyline and memorable music. Despite the film's release in 1999, its songs continue to resonate with audiences. Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai parted ways in 2002, and the two actors have not shared the screen since.
In a separate interview from 2012, Aishwarya Rai reflected on her past relationship with Salman Khan, stating she had largely put that chapter behind her and preferred not to discuss it publicly. She later married Abhishek Bachchan in April 2007, and they welcomed their daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, in 2011.
