Doctors confirmed on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, that the 90-year-old writer is currently on a ventilator and recuperating after a procedure to stabilize his condition.

The medical team expressed optimism, stating that Khan would be taken off the ventilator by Thursday, February 19, 2026, if his condition remains stable.
