Sal Vulcano: Stand-Up is My Purest Artistic Form
17 Jan
Summary
- Stand-up comedy was always Sal Vulcano's ultimate career goal.
- Fatherhood significantly influences Vulcano's current comedy material.
- Vulcano is launching a new talk show and suspecting more 'Jokers'.
Sal Vulcano, a familiar face from "Impractical Jokers," shared that stand-up comedy has always been his primary professional ambition. He emphasized that stand-up represents the most singular and authentic form of his artistic voice, distinct from his work in sketch comedy and improvisation.
His personal life, particularly becoming a father to young children, now profoundly shapes his comedy. This new material, influenced by his experiences as a dad, feels more impassioned and naturally connects with audiences, marking a creatively invigorating phase for him.
With his "Everything Is Fine" tour underway and his first stand-up special, "Terrified," released in 2024, Vulcano is also launching a unique talk show called "Minoosh" and expects "Impractical Jokers" may return for more seasons.
