Saif Ali Khan Nostalgically Recalls the Madness of 90s Bollywood Film Sets

In a recent episode of the show "Two Much with Kajol & Twinkle," Saif Ali Khan looked back on the film sets of the 1990s with a mix of nostalgia and humor. The actor, who made his debut in 1993, admitted that he sometimes misses the madness and unpredictability of those earlier days in the industry.

Saif recalled how the directors would "scream on the mic" and throw in "a few expletives" before any shot, creating a "colourful" and energetic atmosphere on set. He described the 90s film sets as having a "rugged charm" and "sense that anything could happen," which was in contrast to the more organized and polished sets of today.

While Saif acknowledged the professionalism and efficiency of contemporary filmmaking, he said there was a unique camaraderie and spontaneity in the way movies were made back then. "Back then, there was this mad energy," he said, "this sense that anything could happen on set and often did."

For Saif, that period of growth in the 90s taught him as much as any formal training would have. The unpredictability of those early years shaped him as an actor and helped him navigate the industry.
