Saiee M Manjrekar Lives Period Drama Dream in 'The India House'

Saiee M Manjrekar embarks on a long-held aspiration, stepping into period cinema with the upcoming film 'The India House.' This pan-India production is set in 1905, weaving a narrative around themes of love and revolution. Saiee portrays the character of Sati, a role she finds deeply fulfilling.

She describes her character Sati as strong-willed yet possessing a gentle kindness, a duality she found exciting to embody. Adapting to the nuances of the period, including phrases and mannerisms distinct from contemporary speech, was an interesting learning experience for the actress.

The film, produced by Ram Charan in his maiden production venture, also stars Nikhil Siddharth and Anupam Kher. Saiee values the opportunity to work on a film that emphasizes storytelling and authenticity. The shooting experience in Hampi, surrounded by historical significance, further enhanced her performance and emotional connection to the era.
