16 Oct
Summary
- Sahiba Bali stated a viral screenshot showing a dispute with Tamannaah Bhatia is fabricated.
- Bali claims neither actor made the attributed controversial statements.
- The fabricated content was spread on social media platforms like Reddit and Instagram.
Actor and content creator Sahiba Bali has firmly denied a viral screenshot that implied a disagreement between herself and Tamannaah Bhatia. Bali clarified on Thursday via her Instagram Stories that the purported exchange was fabricated or digitally altered, stating that neither she nor Bhatia had made the remarks attributed to them. The screenshot, which gained traction on platforms like Reddit and Instagram, suggested a public dispute concerning comments related to Goddess Durga and women's activism.
Bali questioned the motives behind creating misleading content using celebrities' likenesses for online engagement, speculating that AI or editing tools might have been used. She emphasized that both she and Bhatia know the claims are untrue and urged the public to be cautious of viral posts. This controversy follows Bali's previous discussions about enduring online hate and personal attacks when addressing public issues.
