Musician Ryan Cabrera has released a new pop-punk single, "I'm Just Drunk (Lexi's Texts)," featuring vocals from his wife, WWE star Alexa Bliss. This marks Cabrera's first new music in nearly 18 years. The song's inspiration stemmed from a lighthearted moment where Bliss, after being called a "drama queen" by Cabrera, responded, "I'm not a drama queen. I'm just drunk."
Bliss admitted to needing some tequila to feel comfortable singing, but found encouragement from her husband's support. Her studio experience was also aided by having previously performed on "The Masked Singer," which helped diminish her stage fright. The single also features Jaret Reddick of Bowling for Soup and Tommy Carlucci.
"I'm Just Drunk (Lexi's Texts)" precedes Cabrera's upcoming album, due January 29, 2027. He initially focused on EPs and singles but was persuaded by Bliss that he had enough material for a full album. The new record, influenced by artists like Hot Chelle Rae and Dave Matthews Band, promises Cabrera's signature sound with a touch of adventurous experimentation.
